       This week have Linguistics and Language teaching seminar by Budsaba Kanoksilapatham , Ph. D. Professor English Department, Faculty of Arts,Silpakorn University Nakhon Pathom,Thailand.I'm interested in this seminar very much. I attended and joined with my friend that make me know about Teaching methods/pedagogy. The important thing to learn English language is only open my  mind. English study could open doors for a better teacher. I learnt a lot of  consideration point and knownledge. Frist, I learnt about linguistic competence and know the problem in Thai Education about poorly trained teacher, de- motivating for students but every problem have the way to solve. Second, I learnt phonetics and Phonology. I know practical fact the different sound between American English and British English such as                                              (Z)  in British English pronounciation : /zɛd/     

                                         (Z) in American English  pronounciation : /ziː/ 

I know the true way to read the letter "H" ,consonant sound (think ,thank/ them , their) , and vowel sound (guess,said ,bread, friend, full,- foll / back-bag)    = short vowel    = long vowel

Third, I do intonation pretest 40 items 

Although, I have many mistake in this test I never give up I will practice my English skill every day. I always thinking that It is never too late to learn a new thing. Fourth, I learn Morphology , a set of related words (discuss - discussion - discussant) ,how to stress the word ,Collocations and formulaic expression. Then, I learnt  syntax (subjunctive vs indicative mood), Pragmatic, sociolinguitics (formal vs informal) , lexical semantics English verities such as eraser - rubber , pants - trousers, and biscuit - cracker    = AE        = BE  Next, I learnt shades of meaning , slang such as kid, gross and flunk. Finally, I learnt connotation positive and negative such as fat is negative more than overweight. I know the discourse , corpus linguistics and linguistics research skill in topic subject verb agreement. Although it is a short time to seminar but it will be in my memory forever.

    First of all,  I learn about how to create and decorate blog by searching the HTML code in many website such as  clock code , calendar code and counter code. I can do and select many  thing that I want.  I know how to link friend in my blog. This a good way to share  many knowledge to everyone. It have many benefit for learning in classroom and outclass. It can help me for life long learning all the place all the time. Then, my teacher taught me the way to put YouTube on the blog. It a good thing because Youtube  is  large search engine that have advantage for  language learning. I can improve my English skill by see and listening video from YouTube. Next,I know how to write article on my blog and share to everybody.
Finally, I read the regular articles from teacher is "Using blogs the Foreign Language classroom Encouraging learner independence" by Kathleen Pinkman that make me know the many benefit of the blog for language learning.

       This day I have learnt about how to using computer for teaching and studying English language. My teacher taught me about the first step for used blog by create a gmail account. Next, when I have a gmail account I can create my blog in https://www.blogger.com/ I am very excited because this is my first blog that I can share  the knowledge, filling and good thing to many people in the world.  I have learnt how to decorate blog by select lovely template that I love and the way to write and share the article. Moreover, my teacher taught me about acronyms example ESOL(English for Speakers of Other Languages), TESOL(Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages),  PDF(Portable Document Format), ESL(English as a Second Language), ELL(English language learner), EFL(English as a Foreign Language) and ELT(English Language Teaching). I want to know the meaning and definition each acronyms. I wonder how it important so I searching more information on internet. such as

• English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): The term ESOL is generally used when describing programs outside of a PK-12 setting that are designed for ELLs who seek proficiency in social and academic language; ESOL programs, which may also be referred to as English as a Second Language programs, generally teach basic grammar, vocabulary and colloquial terms and phrases to ELLs in a community college, community program, or online program setting. However, states like Florida utilize the ESOL title to describe its academic endorsement for public school teachers and it is commonly used interchangeably with ESL and TESL.

• English Language Learner (ELL): ELL simply refers to students who are not currently proficient as English speakers and are in the process of developing their English language skills. ELL students are referred to as such in both ESL specific classes and regular content area classes that they are integrated into. ELL is a universally accepted term for English language learners in the K-12 setting, as well as among adult non-native English speakers who in the process of learning English.

Then I learned the role of teacher in using techology that the teacher should be a organizer , instructional , material resource , instructional guide and facilitator for student. The last, I know that Synchronous is tool that is in real-time, such as text chat, audio,telephony, MUDs, MOOs,WOOs , video and teleconferencing  instant messaging that allows students and teachers to ask and answer questions immediately. Asynchronous is Coursework and communications delivered via web,wikis,blogs ,email and messages posted on community forums are perfect examples of asynchronous e-learning.

I am 24 years old My favourite subject is English .I always enjoy studying in  Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University because my teachers are kind and very helpful.There are six people in my family. IT (Information Technology)

   หมายถึง เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ซึ่งเป็นเทคโนโลยีในการรวบรวมข้อมูล การจัดเก็บอย่างมีระบบ การเรียกหาข้อมูลได้อย่างรวดเร็ว การประมวลผล การวิเคราะห์ผลที่ได้จากการประมวลนั้น รวมไปถึงการเน้นในเรื่องการแสดงผล และประชาสัมพันธ์สารสนเทศนั้นอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ในรูปแบบที่เหมาะสมกับผู้ที่จะนำไปใช้ต่อไป ตลอดไปจนถึงการสื่อสารข้อมูลนั้นไปยังหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ด้วย ว่ากันว่า IT กำลังจะก้าวเข้ามาแทนวิชา MIS (management information system) เพราะมีขอบเขตกว้างขวางกว่ามาก สรุปสั้น ๆ ได้ว่า เป็นเหมือนการนำวิชาวิทยาการคอมพิวเตอร์ (computer science) รวมกับนิเทศศาสตร์ (mass communications)

ICT   Information Communication Technology

        หมายถึง เทคโนโลยี หรือกระบวนการต่างๆ ที่ร่วมกันสร้างสารสนเทศ (การรวบรวมข้อมูลที่ต้องการมาจัดเก็บ นำข้อมูลมาประมวลผล หรือวิเคราะห์ให้เป็น สารสนเทศ เรียกข้อมูลและสารสนเทศจากแหล่งอื่นๆ และส่งสารสนเทศ ในลักษณะที่ผู้ใช้ต้องการ ไปให้ผู้ใช้เมื่อต้องการอย่างรวดเร็ว) สนองความต้องการของผู้ใช้ โดยมุ่งให้ผู้ใช้ได้สารสนเทศที่มีคุณภาพดี (คือมีความถูกต้อง เชื่อถือได้ ครบถ้วน สมบูรณ์ ทันสมัย และตรงกับความต้องการ อย่างสะดวก รวดเร็ว ในรูปแบบต่างๆ ที่เหมาะสม)

I ย่อมาจากคำว่า Information แปลว่าสารสนเทศ หมายถึงข้อมูลที่ผ่านการประมวลผล การประมวลผลเป็นการบวก ลบ คูณ หาร การจัดกลุ่ม การจัดจำพวก ฯลฯ สารสนเทศ เป็นข้อมูลที่ง่ายต่อการแปลความหมายทำความเข้าใจได้ง่าย ทำให้มีความเข้าใจตรงกัน C ย่อมาจากคำว่า Communication แปลว่าการสื่อสาร ซึ่งในปัจจุบันระบบสื่อสารการโทรคมนาคมได้เชื่อมโยงประเทศต่างๆในโลกเข้าด้วยกันทำให้เกิดสังคมยุคไร้พรมแดน มนุษย์ซึ่งอยู่กันคนละซีกโลกสามารถติดต่อถึงกันโดยใช้เทคโนโลยีหลายรูปแบบ เช่น อินเตอร์เน็ตก็เป็นเครื่องมือชนิดหนึ่งที่สามารถส่งผ่านข้อมูลได้เกือบทุกรูปแบบ T ย่อมาจาก Technology แปลว่าการประยุกต์ความรู้ทางด้านวิทยาศาสตร์มาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อการดำรงชีวิตของมนุษย์

CAI ( Computer Assisted Instruction)

   หมายถึง  คอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยสอนหรือโปรแกรมช่วยสอน คือสื่อที่ใช้ในการเรียนการสอนอันหนึ่ง CAI คล้ายกับสื่อการสอนอื่น ๆ เช่น วิดีโอช่วยสอน บัตรคำช่วยสอน โปสเตอร์ แต่คอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยสอนจะดีกว่าตรงที่ตัวสื่อการสอน ซึ่งก็คือคอมพิวเตอร์นั้น สามารถโต้ตอบกับนักเรียนได้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการรับคำสั่งเพื่อมาปฏิบัติ ตอบคำถามหรือไม่เช่นนั้นคอมพิวเตอร์ก็จะเป็นฝ่ายป้อนคำถาม (นัยนา เอกบูรณวัฒน์, 2539)

 CALL (Computer-assisted language learning)

  หมายถึง โปรแกรมช่วยเรียนภาษาโดยเฉพาะ ใช้ได้ทั้งกับการเรียนในห้องเรียน โดยมีผู้สอนเป็นผู้ควบคุมดูแลกระบวนการเรียนและการให้ผู้เรียนเรียนจากโปรแกรมด้วยตนเองที่ศูนย์การเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง (Self-access learning center) หรือที่ศูนย์คอมพิวเตอร์และสำหรับสถานศึกษาทีมีความพร้อมก็อาจมอบแผ่นโปรแกรมให้ผู้เรียนนำไปใช้กับเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์นอกสถานศึกษาโดยผ่านโมเด็มและสายโทรศัพท์

WBI (Web-based Instruction)

       WBI หมายถึง การเรียนการสอนผ่านเว็บเป็นการใช้เว็บในการเรียนการสอนโดยอาจใช้เว็บเพื่อนำเสนอบทเรียนในลักษณะสื่อหลายมิติของวิชาทั้งหมดตามหลักสูตร หรือใช้เพียงการเสนอข้อมูลบางอย่างเพื่อประกอบการสอนก็ได้ รวมทั้งใช้ประโยชน์จากคุณลักษณะต่างๆ ของการสื่อสารที่มีอยู่ในระบบอินเทอร์เน็ต เช่น การเขียนโต้ตอบกันทางไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์และการพูดคุยสดด้วยข้อความและเสียงมาใช้ประกอบด้วยเพื่อให้เกิดประสิทธิภาพ

 CMC (Computer Mediated Communication)

หมายถึง การสื่อสารโต้ตอบปฎิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคนกับเทคโนโลยี หรือการสื่อสารทางคอมพิวเตอร์ เป็นการสื่อสารระหว่างบุคคล โดยผ่านคอมพิวเตอร์ตั้งแต่สองตัวขึ้นไป ผ่าน network หรือผ่านเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ต โดยเริ่มจากการติดต่อในลักษณะของตัวอักษรเป็นหลักในรูปแบบต่างๆ เช่น Instant Messages, E-mail, Chatroom

TELL (Teaching English Language Learners) 

 หมายถึง การเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ให้แก่ผู้เรียนภาษาอังกฤษ โดยการศึกษามีความเชี่ยวชาญและความรู้สองภาษา แล้ว ตรวจสอบกลยุทธ์การสอนที่ดีที่สุดสนับสนุนการพัฒนาความรู้ของนักเรียนที่กำลังเรียนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาที่สอง คุณจะได้เรียนรู้วิธีการสร้างเกี่ยวกับภาษาของนักเรียนและประสบการณ์ของพื้นหลังและวิธีการสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมของห้องเรียนที่ส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้การรู้หนังสือที่มีความหมาย

MUDs ( Multiple User Dialogue)

 หมายถึง โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ ที่มีสภาพแวดล้อมเสมือนจริง มีขนาดใหญ่มาก ผู้ใช้สามารถเข้าสู่ระบบ และสำรวจ โดยการการพิมพ์ เส้นทางหรือ ใช้เมาส์ ชี้ไป ในทิศทางที่ต้องการ มีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับผู้ใช้บริการคนอื่นๆ ทำงานร่วมกัน เช่น การสำรวจ , ติดต่อเพื่อน, การสนทนา ,อภิปราย

 MOOs MUD Object Oriented

หมายถึง ระบบของการสื่อสารที่เป็น แบบซิงโครนัสที่ผู้ใช้(users) สามารถปฎิสัมพันธ์กันได้ด้วยการพิมพ์ข้อความ(text)โดยผู้สื่อสารกันนั้นสามารถ เลือกห้องหรือสถานที่สนทนากันได้ ซึ่งผู้สนทนาจะต้องอยู่ในสถานที่ที่เรียกว่า room เดียวกัน
